Daily Word Puzzle
A fresh 5-letter word to guess every day. You get six tries and colour clues after each guess — green for the right spot, amber for the right letter in the wrong spot. Build a streak and share your result.
Guess the day's hidden 5-letter word in six tries. After each valid guess, tiles turn green (correct letter and position), amber (correct letter, wrong position), or grey (not in the word). Everyone gets the same word each day, your streak and stats are saved in your browser, and you can share your result as an emoji grid.

How to use Daily Word Puzzle
- 1Type any valid 5-letter word and press Enter.
- 2Use the green/amber/grey colour clues to narrow it down.
- 3Solve it within six guesses; come back tomorrow for a new word.
How the colours work
After each guess, every tile is coloured: green means the letter is correct and in the right position; amber means the letter is in the word but in a different spot; grey means the letter isn't in the word at all. Repeated letters are handled correctly — a letter only lights up as many times as it appears in the answer.
The on-screen keyboard also colours each key so you can track which letters you've ruled in or out.
A new word every day
Everyone gets the same puzzle each day, and it resets at midnight your time. Your progress, current streak, win percentage, and guess distribution are stored only in your browser — nothing is uploaded or shared unless you choose to share your emoji result grid.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it a new word every day?
Yes — one shared word per day for everyone, resetting at your local midnight. Your streak and stats carry over.
Are my results saved or uploaded?
Your board, streak, and stats are saved only in your own browser (localStorage). Nothing is sent to a server; sharing your result is optional.
How are repeated letters scored?
Exactly like the classic game: a letter is highlighted only as many times as it appears in the answer, with correct positions taking priority.
