Random PIN Generator
Generate random PIN codes for phones, cards, safes and door locks. Choose 4, 6 or 8 digits and skip the patterns people pick most — 1234, 0000, birth years, repeated pairs and straight sequences — using cryptographically secure randomness.
Choose the PIN length and rules (no sequences, no repeated digits, avoid common PINs), and the generator creates random PINs with the Web Crypto API. A 4-digit PIN has 10,000 combinations, but the 20 most common PINs cover over a quarter of real ones — so avoiding patterns matters. You can also check whether a PIN you use is weak.
Random PINs
Click a PIN to copy it. A random 4-digit PIN has 10,000 possibilities; 6 digits has 1,000,000.

- 2Keep “avoid common PINs” and “no sequences” on.
- 3Click a PIN to copy it.
- 4Optionally type your current PIN to check it for obvious patterns.
Why random PINs matter
Studies of leaked PIN datasets show that 1234, 1111 and 0000 alone account for around 20% of all 4-digit PINs, and years like 1990–2010 are extremely common. Someone who finds your phone can try the top few guesses before a lockout. A randomly generated PIN has no such shortcut.
Six-digit PINs are 100 times stronger than four-digit ones, so use six where you have the option.
Remembering it
Say the digits aloud in pairs a few times and use it daily for a week. Don't write it on the card or phone case. For accounts that allow them, a password or passphrase is stronger still.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the most secure 4-digit PIN?
There isn't a single “best” PIN — any PIN you share with lots of people becomes a target. The most secure is one chosen at random that avoids common patterns, which is what this tool generates.
Are 6-digit PINs more secure?
Yes. 1,000,000 combinations instead of 10,000. Combined with a lockout after a few wrong attempts, a random 6-digit PIN is very hard to guess.
Is my data sent to your server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API and JavaScript. Nothing you type or generate is uploaded, logged or stored.
