Trim Video in Your Browser

Cut a clip out of a longer video without uploading it anywhere. Set the start and end time, pick fast or frame-accurate trimming, and the result is produced on your own device.

Drop in a video, enter the start and end time in seconds, and choose a mode: 'Fast' copies the stream without re-encoding (very quick, but the start snaps to the nearest keyframe), while 'Accurate' re-encodes for a frame-exact cut. The trim runs entirely in your browser with FFmpeg — nothing is uploaded, and there's no watermark.

How to use Video Trimmer

  1. 1Drop in a video file (MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI).
  2. 2Enter the start and end time (in seconds) of the part you want to keep.
  3. 3Pick Accurate (frame-exact) or Fast (no re-encode) mode.
  4. 4Click Trim, then preview and download the clip.

Fast vs accurate trimming

'Fast' mode copies the video stream without re-encoding, so it finishes almost instantly and keeps the original quality — but because video is only fully decodable from keyframes, the start point may jump to the nearest keyframe a moment earlier.

'Accurate' mode re-encodes the selected section so the cut lands on the exact second you chose. It's slower (the work happens on your device) but frame-precise. Use Accurate when the exact start matters, Fast when you just need a rough section quickly.

Why trim in your browser

Most online trimmers upload your whole video to a server and add a watermark. Here the video never leaves your device, there's no watermark, and there's no file-size paywall — the only limit is your device's memory. The FFmpeg engine downloads once (~30 MB) and is then cached.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. Trimming runs in your browser via FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so your video stays on your device. Only the engine is downloaded once, then cached.

Why did my clip start slightly early in Fast mode?

Fast mode copies the stream without re-encoding, and video can only start cleanly from a keyframe, so the cut snaps to the nearest one. Switch to Accurate mode for a frame-exact start.

Is there a watermark or size limit?

No watermark and no artificial size cap — the practical limit is your device's memory. Longer videos simply take longer to process.

Is it free, and are there limits?

It's completely free with no account required. Because processing happens on your device, there's no per-file upload limit — the practical ceiling is your device's available memory. You can batch many files and download them as a single ZIP.
