API Response Formatter

Make raw API output readable. Paste a response body — or the full output of curl -i with status line and headers — and the formatter detects whether it's JSON, XML, YAML or form-encoded, pretty-prints it, and lists the headers, all without sending it anywhere.

Paste the response. If it starts with an HTTP status line, the status and headers are separated from the body. The body's format is detected automatically: JSON is pretty-printed, XML indented, and YAML or form data converted to JSON. Nearly-JSON bodies with syntax errors show the exact error location.

JSON, XML, YAML or form data — optionally with the HTTP status line and headers
Paste a raw response from curl -i, Postman, DevTools or your logs. Everything is formatted locally — handy for responses that contain tokens or personal data you shouldn't paste into online services.

How to use API Response Formatter

  1. 1Paste the raw response (body only, or with headers).
  2. 2Check the detected format and status.
  3. 3Read the formatted body.
  4. 4Copy it.

Why format locally

API responses often contain access tokens, personal data or internal IDs. Pasting them into random online formatters can leak them. This formatter runs entirely in your browser.

Get a full response with headers using curl -i https://api.example.com/…, or copy it from your browser's DevTools Network tab.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can it call the API for me?

No — paste the response you already have. To see a URL's headers, use the HTTP Header Checker.

Is my code or data uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you paste is sent to a server or stored.
