SEO Title Checker

Paste a title tag to check it instantly: pixel width against Google's limit, whether it will be truncated, where your keyword sits, repetition and shouty formatting — plus a score and a live Google preview.

Paste your title and, optionally, the target keyword and brand. The checker measures the title in pixels (Google truncates at roughly 580px on desktop), checks that the keyword appears near the start, flags repeated words and ALL-CAPS or !!! formatting, and scores the result.

How to use SEO Title Checker

  1. 1Paste the page title (the text inside the <title> tag).
  2. 2Add your target keyword and brand to unlock keyword and brand checks.
  3. 3Review the score, width meter and each check.
  4. 4Edit the title live until everything passes, then update your page.

What the checker looks at

Width: whether the whole title fits Google's display (~580px), measured with Google's font rather than by character count. Keyword: whether your target phrase appears, and whether it's in the first part of the title where it's read first and never truncated. Quality: repeated words, all-caps words and repeated punctuation that read as spammy and make Google more likely to rewrite the title.

It also notes optional improvements — a brand name at the end, or a number or year — that tend to improve click-through without being rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's a good title score?

80 or above means the title fits, contains the keyword near the start and has clean formatting. Scores reflect best practice, not a Google metric — relevance to the page always comes first.

Is title length a ranking factor?

Not as such. Length matters because a truncated title hides information and can lower clicks, and overly long, repetitive titles are more likely to be rewritten by Google.

Can I check many titles at once?

To audit titles across a live page (with its description, headings and more), use the SEO Checker or Meta Tag Analyzer.

Is this SEO tool free? Do I need to sign up?

It's completely free with no sign-up, no email and no daily credits. Use it as often as you like.
