Meta Title Generator

Enter your target keyword and page type, and get a set of SEO title ideas that each fit Google's display width. Every title is measured in pixels — the way Google actually truncates — and you can preview it as a real search result before you copy it.

Enter the keyword the page should rank for, choose the page type (tool, blog, product, service or local business), and optionally add your brand and main benefit. The generator writes title tags that put the keyword first, measures each one in pixels against Google's ~580px limit, and shows a live Google preview so you can copy the best one.

How to use Meta Title Generator

  1. 1Type the main keyword the page should rank for.
  2. 2Pick the page type and, optionally, add your brand and the page's main benefit.
  3. 3Scan the ideas — each shows its character count and pixel width.
  4. 4Click a title to preview it as a Google result, then copy it into your page's <title> tag.

What makes a good meta title

The title tag is the blue headline of your search result and one of the clearest signals of what a page is about. A good one leads with the keyword people search for, says what the page offers, gives a reason to click (a benefit, a year, “free”), and fits without being cut off.

Keep one unique title per page. Google's own guidance asks for titles that are descriptive and concise, and warns against keyword stuffing and vague boilerplate like “Home” or “Untitled”.

Why pixels, not characters

Google cuts titles by rendered width — roughly 580–600 pixels on desktop — not by a fixed character count. A title full of wide letters like W and M gets truncated sooner than one with narrow letters like i and l, which is why “keep it under 60 characters” is only a rough rule. This generator measures every suggestion with the same Arial metrics Google uses, so what fits here fits in search.

Google may still rewrite a title if it thinks another line on the page describes it better — writing a title that accurately matches the page and its H1 is the best way to keep yours. Check any title you already have with the SEO Title Checker.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should a meta title be?

Aim for about 50–60 characters, but what really matters is width: Google shows roughly 580–600 pixels on desktop. Every idea here is measured in pixels and marked if it would be truncated.

Should the brand name be in the title?

Usually at the end, separated by | or —, if there's room. It builds recognition without pushing your keyword back. The generator adds your brand only when the title still fits.

Can it write a title from my existing page?

Yes. Open “Start from an existing page URL”, paste the URL, and we'll read the page's H1, current title and site name to prefill the generator so you can compare new ideas with what you have.

Why does Google show a different title than mine?

Google rewrites titles it considers too long, stuffed with keywords, or not matching the page. Titles that are concise, accurate and consistent with the page's H1 are rewritten far less often.

Is this SEO tool free? Do I need to sign up?
