How the age estimate works
The tool detects a face and runs an age-estimation model that reads facial features associated with age. It returns an apparent age (how old you look, which isn't necessarily your real age), a likely range, and per-range scores so you can see the distribution rather than a single guess.
This runs on our server rather than in your browser — clearly different from our image and PDF tools — so the photo is uploaded for analysis.
Getting the most accurate result
Use a sharp, front-facing photo in even lighting, with the whole face visible and no heavy filters or sunglasses. Poor lighting, extreme angles, or blur reduce confidence, which the tool will warn you about.
