Schema Markup Validator
Test the structured data on any page, or paste JSON-LD directly. The validator finds JSON syntax errors with line numbers, checks every entity against Google's required and recommended properties for its rich-result type, and flags invalid dates, prices, currencies, durations and URLs.
Enter a page URL or paste JSON-LD (or a whole HTML page). The validator extracts every JSON-LD block, parses it, walks nested entities and @graph arrays, and reports errors (missing required properties, invalid values) and warnings (missing recommended properties) for 30+ types including Product, Article, LocalBusiness, Event, Recipe, FAQPage, Video and BreadcrumbList.

How to use Schema Markup Validator
- 1Enter a page URL, or switch to Paste code.
- 2Click Validate to see each JSON-LD block and the entities inside it.
- 3Fix errors first — they block rich results — then add recommended properties.
- 4Re-test, then confirm important pages with Google's Rich Results Test.
What this validator checks
It checks JSON syntax, @context and @type, then applies Google's documented required and recommended properties for each supported type — for example a Product needs a name and one of offers, review or aggregateRating, and an Offer needs a price. It also checks value formats: ISO 8601 dates and durations, plain-number prices and ratings, three-letter currency codes and absolute URLs.
It reads the HTML your server returns. Markup injected by JavaScript won't be found — paste the rendered HTML from your browser's developer tools instead.
How it compares to Google's tools
Google's Rich Results Test renders the page like Googlebot and applies every eligibility rule, and the Schema.org validator checks the full vocabulary. This validator is faster for iterating and explains fixes in plain language, but it doesn't render JavaScript, validate Microdata or RDFa, or apply every Google policy — so use Google's test as the final word. Build new markup with the Schema Markup Generator.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same as Google's Rich Results Test?
No. It checks the same required and recommended properties for common types and explains errors clearly, but Google's Rich Results Test renders JavaScript and applies every eligibility rule. Use this to fix issues quickly, then confirm with Google.
Why does it find no structured data on my page?
Your markup may be added by JavaScript after the page loads, or written as Microdata/RDFa. Paste the rendered HTML (DevTools → Elements → Copy outerHTML) to validate JavaScript-injected JSON-LD.
What's the difference between errors and warnings?
Errors — missing required properties or invalid values — stop the item from being eligible for rich results. Warnings are missing recommended properties: optional, but adding them can make the rich result more complete.
What happens to the URLs I analyze?
Your browser can't read other websites directly, so our server fetches the public page once, returns the HTML to your browser, and the analysis runs on your device. We don't store the page, the results or a history of the URLs you check. Private and internal addresses are blocked. For pages behind a login, use the Paste HTML option.
Is this SEO tool free? Do I need to sign up?
It's completely free with no sign-up, no email and no daily credits. Use it as often as you like.
