Schema Markup Generator
Create schema.org structured data without writing code. Pick a type — Article, Product, Local Business, FAQ, Organization, Event, Recipe, Video, Software App and more — fill in a simple form, and copy JSON-LD that's checked live against Google's required and recommended properties.
Choose a schema type, fill in the fields (required ones are marked), and the generator builds JSON-LD as you type. It validates the output against Google's documented required and recommended properties, formats dates in ISO 8601, nests objects like author, offers and address correctly, and gives you a ready-to-paste script tag.
1. Choose a schema type
Helps Google show the right headline, image and dates for news and blog articles.
2. Fill in article / blog post details
Google recommends 16:9, 4:3 and 1:1 versions, at least 1200px wide.

What schema markup does
Structured data describes a page's content in a vocabulary search engines understand — this is a product, it costs $49, it has 4.6 stars from 212 reviews. Google uses it to show rich results such as review stars, prices, event dates and recipe cards, and to understand entities like your business and authors.
Schema isn't a direct ranking factor, but rich results can make your listing stand out and lift click-through rate. Google only shows them when the markup is valid, matches visible content, and meets its policies.
Which type should I use?
Use Article or BlogPosting for editorial content, Product for items you sell, LocalBusiness (or a subtype such as Restaurant or Dentist) for physical locations, Organization and WebSite on your homepage, and BreadcrumbList sitewide. Combine several on one page with the JSON-LD Generator, and check existing markup with the Schema Markup Validator.
Note Google's recent changes: FAQ rich results now appear only for well-known government and health sites, and HowTo rich results were retired in 2023 — the markup is still valid but won't produce those features.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is JSON-LD better than Microdata?
Google recommends JSON-LD because it sits in one script block instead of being woven into your HTML, making it easier to add and maintain. All three formats (JSON-LD, Microdata, RDFa) are supported.
Will schema markup guarantee rich results?
No. Valid markup makes a page eligible; Google decides whether to show a rich result based on the query, the page's quality and its policies.
Where do I put the JSON-LD code?
Paste the script tag into the page's HTML, usually in the head (the body works too). On WordPress use a header-scripts plugin or your SEO plugin's custom schema field. Only mark up content that visitors can see on that page.
Is this SEO tool free? Do I need to sign up?
