H1 Checker (Bulk H1–H6 Tag Checker)
Paste up to 10 URLs to check their H1 tags in one go. For each page you'll see the H1 text, whether it's missing, empty or duplicated, and how many H2–H6 headings it has — ready to export as a CSV for your site audit.
Paste up to 10 URLs, one per line, and click Check H1 tags. Each page is fetched and you get its H1 text with a pass/warning/fail status (OK, no H1, empty H1 or multiple H1s) plus counts of H1–H6 headings, which you can export to CSV.

How to use H1 Checker
- 1Paste up to 10 page URLs, one per line.
- 2Click Check H1 tags — results fill in as each page is checked.
- 3Look for red counts in the H1 column: 0 means missing, 2+ means multiple.
- 4Export the table as CSV to track fixes across your site.
Why check H1 tags in bulk
Template bugs create site-wide H1 problems: a logo wrapped in an H1 on every page, category pages with no H1, or a theme that outputs the site name as the H1 while the real title is an H2. Checking a sample of each template — home, category, product, article — catches these quickly.
Each page should have an H1 that describes that specific page, ideally close to its title tag. For a full outline of one page's H2–H6 structure, use the Heading Analyzer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why only 10 URLs?
Each URL is fetched live, politely, two at a time. Ten keeps the check fast and fair for everyone. Run it again for the next batch.
What if a URL fails?
The row shows why — the site blocked the request, timed out, or the URL is invalid. For blocked pages, use the Heading Analyzer's Paste HTML option.
Should the H1 match the title tag?
They don't need to be identical, but they should describe the same topic. Google often uses the H1 when it rewrites a title, so keeping them consistent helps your preferred title stick.
What happens to the URLs I analyze?
Your browser can't read other websites directly, so our server fetches the public page once, returns the HTML to your browser, and the analysis runs on your device. We don't store the page, the results or a history of the URLs you check. Private and internal addresses are blocked. For pages behind a login, use the Paste HTML option.
